FEQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
We put together a list of commonly asked questions with answers. The list is growing. We will update it whenever we have a chance. Thank you for taking the time to read it.
1. What is your turnaround time?
Ans: The sneak preview is usually available on our website within 1-2 weeks after the shoot. The entire gallery is guaranteed to be available within four weeks after the event. Usually, it is sooner than later. You will receive email notifications from Vickie as soon as the gallery is ready to view online.
2. What is your style?
Ans: Our styles are a combination of artistic photojournalism, classic portrait poses with sophisticated lighting techniques. We are very sensitive to composition, contrast and color (Joe was a graphic designer and I worked in an advertising agency before). The result of your photos & wedding film will be as many of our clients said-“shots straight out of movies and magazines”. We strive to provide you with a thrilling, personal experience & result that will wow all your family and friends.
3. Do you carry liability insurance?
Ans: Yes, we are fully insured as many catering halls all require photographers & event professionals to carry two million dollars liability insurance before permitting to the premise.
4. What is your no#1 tip that you share with your bridal clients in order to receive excellent wedding pictures?
Ans: Being punctual and don’t sweat on trivial matters. Though the ceremony won’t begin without the bride, the cost of having a late ceremony is quite high. Everything will be cascaded when the ceremony begins late, the couple, wedding party and immediate family will be stressed out. Your photo session time will be shortened and sacrificed and may miss the magic hour of photography in the evening. Tell you a secret, Joe will retouch pictures to make sure you look picture perfect. So once we review all the wedding day logistics together, let’s stick to the game plan and you will be really pleased with the result!
5. If Joe, Vickie, and Yunika are all booked, do you have other high qualification photographers and videographers to work with me?
Ans: Yes. Our lead photographers -Joe & Yunika personally train several associate photographers to work with them for different assignments. We also team up with our college friends who majored in photography. If our lead photographers are not available for any reason, we have dependable associates to back up and work with you!
6. In addition to photography, do you provide video service as well?
Ans: Yes, we provide the most trendy cinematography service to personal and business clients too. Please click here to see more handsomely made wedding films.
7. What is the next step once the wedding is over?
Ans: 4 weeks after the wedding, you will receive an email & phone call from Vickie notifying you that the online gallery is available. You will receive photo disks and be able to choose your images for the album if the album is included in your package. We will email you the design draft link within 2-3 weeks after we receive your choice of images. The turn around time for album delivery is 4-6 weeks from the time you approve the design. We do the design in house and be able to give you a quick turn around for any modification request. We also represent several reputable album companies including Forbeyond Album, Picto Books, Queensberry wedding album, Graphi Studio, and Romance Albums. We carry full lines of albums from flush mount albums with acrylic/leather/metallic cover, coffee table book, and classic matted album. Among our collections, I am sure that you will find something that is really appealing to your eyes. Photography is all about presentation.
8. About the album design, who chooses the pictures? Is it us or the photographers? Will we be able to see what the album design would look like before it is printed and bound?
Ans: Yes, whether your package includes an album or you decide to add an album after seeing your pictures, we let you choose your favorite pictures first. We may add a couple of pictures later on after seeing your selection. Depends on the time you submit your choice of pictures, the first design is usually available within 2-3 weeks. We will email you a link for you to review the design layout. Should you need to make changes, you can let us know by call or emailing us. If you need a lot of custom changes, we invite you to sit with us at our editing suite in Somerset, NJ to make all the changes on the fly at one album design meeting. Once you approve the album, you can expect to receive your album in 4-6 weeks.
9. What is the quickest way to reach you?
Ans: If you need to reach us immediately, please call. Emails are quite overwhelming these days. We are super swamped with emails already. Your phone call will be returned on the same day or at least within 24 hours. If it is an email, it may take 24-48 hours to get back to you. Also, since we are mostly working with clients on the weekend, if you happen to call or email us on Friday/Sat/Sunday, we will get back to you on Tuesday morning. If it is urgent, please call Vickie at 732-715-6773 or leave a message at our toll-free number 866-844-4166, we will try to get back to you asap.
10. What are your hobbies when you are not shooting and editing pictures?
Ans: Joe is a fan of world history (Vickie frequently called Joe a “history junkie” as he would go through the list of videos recommended on YouTube for history at his leisure time and his bedtime reading are all historically related) has strong interests in a wide variety of things, including cooking, art, classical music, sacred music (Joe plays cello and flute), architecture, gardening & latest photography gadgets. Vickie likes to play table tennis and piano and she does kickboxing too. Together we also enjoy traveling and plan to visit all USA national parks in the next 10 years!
